VX is a new sport that recently arrived in the USA from the UK. It is a fast paced, demanding, skillful and challenging game played between 2, 4 or even 10 players of any gender. Often described as a mix between lacrosse and dodgeball it is impossible to truly appreciate this sport until you have lived through a full round of competition.

This event is an opportunity to see, learn and play the sport of VX, and be one of the first people in the USA to do so. There is also the option of becoming one of the first offical VX Coaches in the USA.

The fee for participation is $30.
Or for $50 participation and a free t-shirt.
Or for $60 participation and a coaching certificate.
Or for $70 all of the above.
Discounts available for teachers, coaches of other sports and members of the military,police or emergency services. Please enquire.

Due to limited capacity only the first 15 places will be available for this event. Here is a run down of the event plan.

10:00 am – Introduction to VX, welcome from VX USA and VX Global. Basic safety information.
10:15 am – Official VX Warmup by Worldwide S&C Coach Jon Haas.
10:30 am – Basic skills: scooping, shooting and blocking.
11:30 am – VX2 games – Everyone will play one 4 min round
12:30 pm – lunch break
13:15 pm – Basic skills: Dribbling, Advanced skills. Drills.
14:00 pm – VX4 games – Everyone will play as part of a 2 player team, each team will play four 5 min rounds against other random teams. The team with the highest overall score at the end is the winner. The winning team will receive a prize.
Those who are part of the coaching program will participate in the refereeing and umpiring of the VX4 games.
16:00 pm – Awards, certifications, group photo and closing remarks. Congratulations! You are now all VXers and part of sporting history.

Bring suitable sportswear to the event. No other equipment necessary.

There are limited food and beverage facilities in the local area, so participants should consider bringing lunch. Water and sports drinks will be available for purchase at the event. There will also be a small store of useful items and related merchandize.

Jon Haas, "The Warrior Coach" has been training in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu for more than 25 years and is currently ranked as a Kudan (9th degree black belt) under Jack Hoban Shihan. He has also trained in Okinawan Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Russian Systema, BJJ, Krav Maga, as well as Internal Martial Arts of Yiquan and Aiki.He is a certified Underground Strength Coach-Level 2, a certified Personal Trainer as well as founder of Warrior Fitness Training Systems. In 2008, Jon wrote the book, Warrior Fitness: Conditioning for Martial Arts, and since then has created numerous other online training and coaching programs helping people around the world become the strongest, most capable versions of themselves!
