Why You STILL Don’t Breathe Properly

I know, I know.  You’ve been breathing your entire life so how could you be doing it wrong?  You practice all day, every day, right?  So you’re thinking – Pretty simple stuff here – in through the nose, out through the mouth, what’s so difficult about this?  How could I possibly be screwing it up?  I mean, it’s an automatic process for goodness sake!  Doesn’t my body know what it’s doing?

Well, the good news is – yes, breathing is an automatic process otherwise none of us would be alive.  Could you imagine if we had to go around all day remembering to breathe?  Some of us can barely remember where we put our car keys or what we had for breakfast on a given day never mind trying to remember to breathe every few seconds!

While our life support system of respiration is an automatic process that goes on 24/7 without our conscious thought, we can also voluntarily choose to inhale, exhale, or even hold the breath.  Even though this is an incredibly obvious statement and we know this, most people, even in the world of strength and conditioning or martial arts, still don’t realize what an incredibly powerful tool this actually is.  You see, it’s not about what you KNOW.  It’s about what you DO.

Because our breath spans both the autonomic AND voluntary sides of the nervous system it may be used (with the proper training and coaching guidance) to influence very critical aspects of our health and performance we normally don’t have control over, namely our heart rate and blood pressure.

Being able to manipulate these 2 things gives us a huge advantage in recovering more quickly from exertion, in extending our endurance, in increasing our tolerance to the pain of pushing through tough exercises, and in flooding our bodies with energy, just to name a few of the benefits.

So how do you learn these specialized breathing exercises and techniques anyway?  Where does one get the proper coaching guidance?

I’ve been studying and practicing breathing exercises for well over a decade now and just recently made the most powerful breathing techniques I know available to you.  Click here to start to Evolve Your Breathing Today!
