Improve Yourself Every Day

“Be not afraid of greatness. Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and others have greatness thrust upon them.”
William Shakespeare, Twelfth Night

The potential for greatness lies within us all.  We just need to cultivate it.  But cultivation requires 2 things: effort and consistency.  If you want to pursue your own innate greatness you must DO something every day to bring it closer.  Daily effort sharpens the focus, polishes the shine, bringing you one step closer ever day.

However, if you are content to live a dull, meager, lackluster existence never even coming close to reaching your full potential than don’t bother to read on.  In fact, you are probably in the wrong place and should not even be reading this blog.  This blog is for Warriors traveling on the path.

Warriors, here is how to Improve Yourself Every Day.  It’s quite simple, yet far from easy.  Read on….

The Recipe for Greatness

Set the mind.

Steel the will.

Train the body.

Soar the spirit.

Do it daily for the rest of your life.  You’ll be amazed at your progress when you look back a few years from now and see how very far you’ve come.  Don’t think about it.  Don’t delay.  Do it.  Start Now.  No matter what, the time will pass anyway.  Wouldn’t you rather look back and see the immense change in your life you’ve wrought than simply more of the same?

Here’s the question for you to answer:

What actions are you taking every day in order to improve yourself?

Do you spend time reading educational or inspirational books or articles?  Even 5-10 minutes a day can change your whole outlook.  Do you push yourself daily in exercise?  Mini workouts (see post here) are awesome when you are crunched for time!  Do you practice your martial art every day?  Budo should be in everything you do – there’s no excuse for not training.  What else do you do?  Are you moving your business ahead each and every day?  Are you strengthening relationships with your family and friends every single day?  There’s always more!

More than merely training and conditioning the body, this type of continuously pushing of oneself every day is training for the mind and ultimately for the spirit.  Remember – the only limits are the ones you impose upon yourself!
