Every year millions of people worldwide make firm, committed New Year’s resolutions.

“I’m going to get in shape this year.”

I’m going to lose x number of pounds this year.”

“This will be the year I reclaim my health and fitness.”

“I’m going to join a gym this year.”

“I’m going to cut my carbs this year.”
